The idea
Small brands deserve a bigger stage.
Independent creators often face a bad choice: rely only on markets and online sales, or take on the cost and risk of a storefront. Originals Quarter is being built as another path - a physical marketplace where many distinct brands can be discovered in one professionally operated store.
Vendors bring the products, point of view, and story. Originals Quarter plans to provide the shared retail environment, store team, customer service, and centralized checkout. The goal is straightforward: make in-person retail more accessible for independent businesses and make original products easier for customers to discover.
From the founder
Why I am building this.
I'm Daniel Chau, founder of Originals Quarter. I am building this business because talented makers deserve more than a temporary table or an algorithm to reach customers. A good product should have the chance to be seen, touched, gifted, and discovered in person.
Originals Quarter is still early, and I will not hide that. We are building the founding vendor community and evaluating high-traffic retail locations in Greater Los Angeles. I am speaking directly with makers, learning what they need from a retail partner, and shaping the first location around a model that can work for both vendors and customers.
My commitment is to communicate clearly, avoid false promises, and give every approved vendor the confirmed location, pricing, responsibilities, and written agreement before asking them to commit.
