Founding vendor information

More reach.
Less overhead.

What the planned model gives vendors, what we ask in return, and which details will be confirmed before anyone commits.

Vendor benefits

Focus on making. Keep growing.

  • A lower-risk entry into physical retail. Reach in-person shoppers without leasing and staffing an entire store.
  • No booth shifts. The planned store team handles regular floor coverage, customer service, and centralized checkout.
  • A professionally presented setting. Your work lives alongside a curated mix of independent products rather than inside a temporary market setup.
  • Keep the price you set You set your product price, and we don’t take a commission out of it. Any Originals Quarter store fee is built into the final price shown to customers, so your product price stays yours.
  • Local discovery. Join a destination designed for customers who actively want to support creative, independent businesses.
  • Founding input. Early vendors may help us learn what display formats, communications, and operational support work best.
Vendor responsibilities

A shared store still requires strong partners.

  • Supply authentic, lawful, safe, retail-ready products that match the approved application.
  • Maintain accurate labels, pricing, packaging, and any legally required warnings or disclosures.
  • Set up and maintain a clean, shoppable display within the approved footprint.
  • Monitor inventory and restock reliably throughout the agreed term.
  • Provide accurate business, tax, payment, and contact information.
  • Follow the final vendor agreement, store standards, return rules, and product requirements.
Before you say yes

The details you will receive.

Selection is not the same as commitment. Before an approved vendor signs or pays, Originals Quarter plans to provide the confirmed store location, display size and placement, vendor rate, term, anticipated opening schedule, deposit or upfront charges if applicable, sales and payout process, return handling, restocking expectations, insurance requirements, and termination terms.

Current stageThe first store is in development. Applications are being used to understand vendor fit, category demand, and space needs. There is no fee to apply and no obligation until written terms are accepted.
Vendor FAQ

Straight answers.

Is the store open now?

No. The first Greater Los Angeles location is currently in development. We are recruiting potential founding vendors while evaluating locations and planning the merchandise mix.

Does applying reserve a space?

No. Applications are reviewed for fit and do not guarantee acceptance, availability, pricing, or placement.

Do I pay to apply?

No. The application is free. Any future space charges will be disclosed to selected applicants before they decide whether to sign.

When will rates and the location be announced?

Selected vendors will receive the confirmed location, available space options, rates, timeline, and agreement before committing. We will share public updates as major milestones are confirmed.

Do I have to staff my display?

No booth shifts are planned. The Originals Quarter team is expected to operate the sales floor and centralized checkout. Vendors remain responsible for setup, inventory accuracy, restocking, and compliance.

Will Originals Quarter take a commission?

The planned model allows vendors to retain their designated product price. Any applicable Originals Quarter store fee will be incorporated into the total price displayed to customers, with the fee component separately identified where appropriate. Applicable sales taxes may be added as permitted by law. The final vendor agreement will govern returns, discounts, taxes, fees, refunds, and other adjustments.

What products are eligible?

We prioritize handmade, small-batch, locally rooted, or independently designed goods. We also assess quality, packaging, retail readiness, reliability, customer fit, and category balance.

Are food, beauty, or children's products accepted?

Potentially, but regulated categories require appropriate labeling, permits, safety documentation, insurance, and compliance. Approval is product-specific.

What happens after I apply?

We review your brand and may contact you for additional details. If there is a potential fit, we will keep you updated and provide a complete offer once the relevant store details are confirmed.

How can I verify or contact the business?

Originals Quarter is operated by DJC Commerce LLC, a California limited liability company. Questions are welcome. Contact founder Daniel Chau directly at vendors@originalsquarter.com or through @originalsquarter on Instagram.
